I bought a pound of 10 gauge plain solder not acid or rosin core and wound it into a coil using a soup can. Using a wrench tighten the nuts on each side one quarter turn at a time.

Specifically the champion 4 brand toilet the champion 4 toilet has a defect in the seal or washer that sits on the flush valve mechanism the flush valve seal. Had the original champion toilet that started leaking after 5 months. The purpose of the flush valve seal is to prevent water in the holding tank from draining until the user flushes the toilet. Locate the mounting nuts and bolts underneath the tank.
